COMMUNITY PRAYER WALKS

How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Isaiah 52:7

Our theme is: “Praying for the Jewish Community in Atlanta and Around the World.”

We go to...

  • Connect with the Lord. Before we begin, we gather as a group to pray, asking the Lord to lead, guide, and direct us as we walk. During our prayer walk we are continually talking to the Lord, asking him to touch the community and the people, young and old.

  • Connect with the community. We are not there to talk to people. Generally we don’t talk to others...only our prayer partner. We are surrounded by people. People who need Jesus. Jewish people who “walk in darkness” and “need to see the great light” of Messiah. We could pray from anywhere, but it is powerful to be among the people for whom was are praying.

  • Connect with Scriptures. All of the prophets prayed for Israel and the Jewish people. We follow the same pattern with the same purpose and principle: Praying works. It has effect, both on those who pray and on those for whom we are praying. Prayer connects us to the Lord. And prayer is a blessing! As Jesus was led by his Father and the Holy Spirit we also ask for guidance as we walk. Everyone is equipped with scripture that we print out to be a powerful guide of prayer for Israel and the Jewish people.

No one leaves a prayer walk without being changed themselves. There is something about being with the people that draws one closer to them. As we passionately walk and pray, we are changed as well. If your heart is touched to join us to walk an Atlanta Jewish neighborhood and pray along with us, please let us know.

“YOUR JEWISH NEIGHBOR”

The “Your Jewish Neighbor” Initiative exists to serve the Jewish community, sharing the love of Messiah by meeting practical needs like food, home repair, and other simple gestures of kindness.

We partner with local Jewish and Christian organizations to help bring aid and comfort to the Jewish population, particularly the elderly in need, in the greater Atlanta area and beyond.

Do you know a Jewish person in need?

Do you have skills or time to volunteer to bless the Jewish community? Contact us to get involved!
