What People Are Saying

“I would highly recommend Hebrew 101. Anna Beth makes the class fun and interesting. She is excellent at explaining the Hebrew alphabet and teaching the pronunciations. She makes learning easy and does a great job knowing just how much to teach each week so you’re not overwhelmed.

It has been over 30 years since I’ve been in college and my memory isn’t the greatest, so I can definitely say this class is for all ages. No one should be intimidated about taking this class. She also provides great course materials and videos for each class so it was easy to review pronunciations and words learned. The class is very inexpensive and affordable for all budgets too. I know I’ve received an excellent foundation and am excited to learn more.”

“Anna Beth presented the information at an easily digested pace. I am still amazed at how I can now sound all things out in Hebrew after only 6 short weeks. She did a great job of explaining the depth of language and the deep, intertwining meaning of words. She also helped me understand some nuggets about Hebrew and its traditional blessings and songs that continue to help me understand my reading of scripture.”

“Anna Beth’s approach is both encouraging and challenging, as is the PDF textbook we used. We had well-laid-out information and just enough repetition. Anna Beth gave us examples and useful extras such as root words to recognize in new words, small letter variations that convey or enrich meaning, and cultural morsels that add insight to what we read.

I have already gained even greater pleasure in my Bible reading following this simple introductory course. These first new tools of language are helping me explore questions and depth of meaning as I read. I confess, I also have enjoyed being able to read aloud most Hebrew words I encounter! I am continuing to review and practice and study, and it continues to be a pleasure because of my excellent beginning.”
